Charles R. Hagedon

CHARLES R. HAGEDON, age 74 of Harbor Beach passed away Thursday, September 24, 2009 at his home under United Hospice Services ; surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 27, 1934 in Harbor Beach to the late Ralph and Eva (Hunter) Hagedon. Chuck and Doris Hessling were united in marriage on September 19, 1953 in Kinde. He was a Project Engineer for Active Industries for 42 years, retiring in 1996. Chuck was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church of Harbor Beach. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, working on puzzles, and enjoyed boating and the lake very much. Chuck was an avid reader and a history buff. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed racing. He is survived by his wife Doris of Harbor Beach, and their children: Jeannie Quinn of Rochester, Robert Hagedon and his wife Patricia of Harbor Beach, Nancy Siemen and her husband Dale of Harbor Beach, Paul Hagedon and his wife Sheila of Lakeport, Karen Buzinski and her husband Terry of Lenox, and Diane Pringle and her husband Tom of Lexington.fourteen grandchildren: Don (Virginia) Teeple, Stan Galanos, Jessica Hagedon and her Fiance Mike Fleischer, Christopher Hagedon, Paul (Wendy) Siemen, Eric (Jessica) Siemen, Laurie Siemen and friend Lee Page, Daniel Siemen and friend Jamie Klee, Michael (Jennifer) Hagedon, Kevin (Marilyn) Hagedon, Melissa (James) Dondineau, Shia (Jesse) Green, Genna and Jared Pringle. seven great grandchildren: Mariana Teeple, Luke and Emma Siemen, Jaime Page, Clara Siemen, Austin Dondineau, and Jake Green. two Brothers: Bruce Hagedon and his wife Marilyn of California, and Larry Hagedon and his wife Brenda of Grand Ledge, two sisters: Betty Grates and her husband Albert of Redford and Susan Stanke of Harbor Beach. Sister-in-laws; Marie Hagedon of Westland and Doris Hagedon of Virginia, Gladys (Ken) Mosey, Magdalene Gehring, Margie (Earl) Grates, Lorraine (Albert) Prill, Joan (Michael) Prill, Norma Hewitt and Marvin (Pat) Hessling, and numerous nieces and nephews. Chuck was preceded in death by his brothers George, Jack, James and Ralph Hagedon and a sister Jean Erb, and brother-in-law Jack Gehring. Funeral Mass for Chuck will be Monday September 28, 2009 at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church of Harbor Beach, with Fr. William Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation for Chuck will be Sunday from 1-9pm in the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Monday will be in the church beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11. A Parish vigil service will take place Sunday evening at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
