Elaine R. Reinke

Elaine Ruth Reinke, punched her last ticket to her final destination to the gold gates of Heaven. She was born on November 1, 1948 in Harbor Beach, to the late Arthur & Lena (Koglin) Sengstock. Elaine and Roy Reinke were united in marriage on July 3, 1965, having just celebrated their 60 years of marriage. Together they raised their children: Michael Reinke, Cathy (Greg) Woodke, grandchildren: Taylor (fiance Cody) Reinke, Anthony Reinke, Paige (Monika Landin) Woodke, Ty Woodke, Olivia Woodke, and great granddaughter Evelyn. She is survived by her loving siblings: Brenda (Butch) Friedland, Joyce Harwood, Lola Smith, Darla Pankow, Deanna May, Daryl (Kim) Sengstock, her sister and brother-in-law: Martha Popour, Robert (Rose) Reinke, Goddaughters: Dawn Deer, Susan Smith, Kimberly Brown, and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws: William (Bill) & Clara Reinke, brother Arthur Sengstock III, and brothers-in-law: Larry Harwood, Robert Smith, Alan Pankow, Dan May & Gary Popour. Elaine was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the Grindstone Port Hope Sportsman's Club, and a founding member of the Port Hope Gas & Steam Engine show & ABC Day in Port Hope. Elaine loved antiques, collecting these from Huron County and the surrounding areas, especially Port Hope, the hometown she loved. She travelled the US on guided tours for years, loving to see history and would tell you all about it. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 11 am at St. John Lutheran Church of Port Hope, with Rev. David Dodge officiating. Friends may gather, at the church, beginning at 9 am until time of services at 11 am. A time of fellowship and luncheon will be followed at the St. John Lutheran School by the Ladies Aide. Arrangmenets are being handled by the Ramsey Fuenral Home of Harbor Beach. Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church, Grindstone Port Hope Sportsman's Club for their youth day, or Eastern Huron Ambulance Service.
