Sara Elizabeth Wood

SARA ELIZABETH WOOD, age 28 of Farmington Hills, formerly of Harbor Beach, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Oakwood Annapolis Hospital in Wayne, Michigan. She was born on December 12, 1981 in Harbor Beach to Marvin and Phyllis (Zurek) Kociba. Sara and Aaron Wood were united in marriage on July 7, 2007 at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach. Sara was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church. Sara was a Doctor of Pharmacy, graduating from Ferris State University in 2007. She worked for the Pharmacy Department in Walmart, and was a Pharmacy Manager of the Canton and Commerce, Michigan Stores. She also worked in the Bad Axe Walmart Pharmacy. She enjoyed scrapbooking, playing the piano, crafting, travelling, and being with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Sara is survived by her husband Aaron of Farmington Hills, parents Marvin & Phyllis Kociba of Harbor Beach, grandmother Anna Kociba of Harbor Beach, mother and father-in-law Tom & Paula Wood of Harbor Beach, her siblings: Kathy Kleinknecht and her husband Steve of Shelby Township, Dennis Kociba of Harbor Beach, David Kociba and his wife Kim of Harbor Beach, Mary Aymen and her husband Ric of Port Austin, Scott Kociba and his wife Jill of Clarkston, and Lori Booms and her husband Ryan of Bad Axe, brother-in-laws Anthony Wood of Harbor Beach, Andrew Wood and his wife Kristyn of New Baltimore and Adam Wood of Harbor Beach. Nieces and Nephews: Laura, Erica, Breanna, Derek, Jacob her Godson, Lauren, Adam, Rachael, Clara, Miranda, Megan, Jordan, Amber, and Drew, and many uncles and aunts. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Samuel Aymen, and grandparents Peter Kociba and Boniface and Phoebe Zurek. Funeral Mass for Sara will be Sunday, October 31, 2010 at 2 pm in Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church with Fr. William Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the OLLH Church Cemetery. Visitation for Sara will be Saturday, October 30, from 1-9pm in the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Sunday will begin in the church at 12:30 until time of services at 2 pm. A parish vigil service will take place Saturday at 7:30 pm in the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Sara Elizabeth Wood Scholarship Fund.
