Valerie F. Lamb

Valerie Frances (Steinhorst) Lamb, 72, of Harbor Beach passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2022, at her home. Valerie was born on September 5, 1949, to the late Norman and Mildred (Pelton) Steinhorst. She spent her early life in Port Hope. Valerie married Roger Lamb in Harbor Beach and together they raised five children. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2004. Valerie spent most of her working years in the healthcare field. She was compassionate, kind, and always willing to lend an ear to those who wanted to talk. These are the qualities her family will miss the most. Valerie could often be found sitting at her dining room table or at her computer working on scrapbooks to preserve family history. She created several scrapbooks over the years that contain precious memories with handwritten captions and notes. She especially enjoyed cataloging the lives of her grandchildren. Valerie was an excellent cook and she was always looking for new recipes she could make and share with her family. She also enjoyed reading, traveling, watching the Detroit Tigers, and her roses. But the one thing Valerie enjoyed most in her life was time spent with her family. Valerie is now reunited with her husband, Roger, parents Norman and Mildred, and in-laws Joseph and Lois Lamb, all who predeceased her. She is survived by her children Brad Blanchard, Chris Blanchard, Terra (Gary) Booms, Lois (Mary Lou) Mangan-Lamb, and Roger Lamb II. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren Stephanie, Ashley, Moira, Brooke (Nick), Kendal, Danielle (Jason), Camryn (special friend Brady), Garrison, Mason, Declan, and Liam. She is also survived by her brother Ronald Steinhorst and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Valerie will be Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 2 pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach, with Rev. Matthew Durance officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Falls Cemetery. Visitation for Valerie will be Tuesday, at the funeral home, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 2 pm.
