Gary Wolschleger

March 20, 1950 - January 28, 2022

Gary Michael Wolschleger Gary passed away January 28th 2022 surrounded by family and friends. He was born on March 20th, 1950 to the Late Norman and Dolores (Schulte) Wolschleger. Gary married his high school sweetheart Joann (Osentoski) Wolschleger on August 23rd, 1969. Gary worked at the former Hercules now known as Sensient for 37 years. Until Gary was paralyzed from injuries from a farm accident in 2006. In addition to working at the factory, Gary and Joann worked side-by-side raising their children and working the family farm. Gary never let his handicap slow him down he was an avid Hunter. He hunted deer, bear, coyote,and elk. After his injuries Gary Went on a African safari hunting trip where he bagged several plains animals. He was known by the local farmers as groundhog Gary along with his friend Randy Bischer and his wife Joann. He was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Parish. The Harbor Beach Gun Club,the Knights of Columbus and the thumb two cylinder club. His memory will be kept alive and cherished by his family and friends. He was survived by his loving wife Joann of 52 years. His daughter Jennifer Storey and her husband Mark of Port Huron. Son Jessie Wolschleger and wife Vita off Harbor Beach. Daughter Jodi Baumchen her husband John of Corruna. Son Jared Wolschleger and his wife Elleen of Harbor Beach. Gary was also survived by his grandchildren Josh, Jacob, Jordan Storey. Shelby Justin, Paige and Sasha Wolschleger. Jon Michael, Gabriel, Dillion Baumchen. Erik, Anders, Celeste Wolschleger. His brothers Randy Wolschleger (Julie) of Palms. Jeff Wolschleger (Gail) of Memphis. Sister Debbie Gentner- Bischer (Allen) of Minden City. Brother-in-laws Richard Osentoski of Trenton. Wayne Osentoski(Karen) of West Virginia. Robert (Elaine) Osentoski of Taylor. Dory John Osentoski of Arizona. Sister-in-laws Mary Jane (Farley)Bayudan of Hawaii. Arlene will (Robert)of Harbor Beach. Sherry Messing(Mike) of Ruth. Michelle Osentoski of Arizona. Step mother in law Josie Osentoski of Harbor Beach. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Dolores (Schulte) Wolschleger. In-laws Isadore and Alice (Essenmacher) Osentoski. Brother-in-law Robert Gentner. Niece Amanda Messing – Spencer. Brother and sister-in-law Fred and Phyllis osentoski. Sister-in-laws Florence, Diana, and Marcia Osentoski. Funeral Mass for Gary will be Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 11 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth, of the Holy Apostles Parish, with Fr. Matthew Federico officiating. Burial will follow in OLLH Church Cemetery. Visitation for Gary will be Tuesday from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Wednesday will be at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. A Knights of Columbus Rosary will take place Tuesday at 6:30 pm at the funeral home, followed by a Vigil Service at 7 pm at the funeral home.
