Gladys E. Koehn Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

GLADYS E. KOEHN, born on June 28, 1920 in Harbor Beach, entered into eternal life by grave through faith in Jesus Christ on June 16, 2014at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital. She was the last surviving child of the late Herman and Ida (Arndt) Koehn. She was preceded in death by her brothers; Arthur and Frederick, and her sister Della Seltz. She is survived by her nieces, Shirley Koehn and Elaine (Seltz) Miller, and nephews, David, Paul and Charles Koehn, as well as her devoted friends, Marilyn Hazel and Nina Messing. Gladys was a teacher in Harbor Beach at the Rock Falls School and also in Saginaw. She loved the farm life with flowers and animals, raising Shelties, sheep, chickens and turkeys in her days on her grandfather’s place before finishing her days under the watchful and helpful care of Lakeview Extended Care in Harbor Beach. She was a life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church, where memorial gifts may be given. A memorial service will be announced for the middle of July. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service to be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Harbor Beach on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 10 am. Internment will follow at Rock Falls Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church or School. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com
