Louis Reid Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

LOUIS J. REID JR., age 62 of Harbor Beach, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Port Huron Hospital. He was born on July 6, 1951 in Harbor Beach to Margaret (Murray) Reid and the late Louis Reid. Louis and Rita Heleski were united in marriage on May 17, 1969 in Rapson. He was a member of Holy Name of Mary Parish, Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, enjoyed watching the grandchildren play sports, camping, fishing, hunting, playing softball, snowmobiling and ice fishing. Louis is survived by his wife Rita of Harbor Beach, and his children: Michelle Welch of Harbor Beach, Kelly Reid of Harbor Beach, and Jessica Trudeau and her husband Scott of Commerce Township, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, mother Margaret Reid of Harbor Beach, and his siblings: Elizabeth Booms and her husband Ray of Ruth, Wendy Peyerk and her husband Ken of Harbor Beach, Robert Reid and his wife Linda of Harbor Beach, and Sharon Kramer and her husband Lloyd of Harbor Beach. He was preceded in death by a brother Barry Reid. Funeral Mass for Louis will be Monday, March 3, 2014 at 2 pm at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. William Spencer officiating. Burial will take place in White Rock Cemetery. Visitation for Louis will be Sunday from 2pm until 9 pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Monday will begin at the church at 12pm until time of services at 2 pm. A Parish Vigil Service will take place Sunday at 7 pm in the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Family Discretionary Fund.
