She was born in Harbor Beach, MI, October 16, 1938 to the late Claire Johnson and Lucille Johnson. Marjory was united in marriage with her loving husband, of 53 years, Fred Ahrens on July 1, 1967. He survives her. Together, they raised two sons, Andrew and Kevin (Beth) Ahrens. Marjory attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA, receiving a degree in Christian education, followed by her Master’s Degree in Library Science from Central Michigan University. She enjoyed a career in Bangor Township Schools, before retiring and moving back to Harbor Beach from Essexville, Mi. She shared her beautiful musical talents serving congregations in Essexville Baptist Church and First Presbyterian Church in Harbor Beach as their organist. Marjory was a true servant of God. In addition to her strong faith and love of music, Marjory cherished her family and many friends. Spending time at her son’s cottage, gardening, bird watching, cooking/baking and Bible studies were some of her passions. As well as her husband and sons, Marjory is survived by four grandchildren, Michael (Amber), Mason, Ryder, and Laila, whom she loved very much. Also left to cherish her memory, are her siblings, Dave (April) Johnson, Mary Ellen (Jack) Hessling, and sister/brother in-laws, Kathleen Frissbee, Diane (Willard) Messing, John (Barb) Ahrens, and Jeff Ahrens. She was preceded in death by her dear brother, Bruce Johnson in Vietnam. Special Friends Karen Johnson, Pastor Connie Sassanella, Heather Legatz, and her Bible study group were dear to her heart. Marjory will be dearly missed by all who knew her and her beautiful smile and warm spirit. Per Marjory's request, cremation has taken place. Due to Covid restrictions, a small family service will be held Tuesday December 8th, at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church in Harbor Beach, with Pastor Connie Sassanella officiating with grave side service following. Friends may gather at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach from 10 am until time of services at the church. A celebration of life will take place in the summer of 2021 with all welcome!
