Robert Oeschger

Robert Oeschger, age 77 of Port Hope, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at Huron County Medical Care Facility of Bad Axe. He was born on March 24, 1945 to the late Edward and Mildred (Armbruster) Oeschger. He and Candace Kanehl were united in marriage on January 14, 1967 in Sebewaing. Bob was a graduate of Michigan State University, and worked on the Farm his whole life. Bob also served on many different boards including: Farm Bureau, the Port Hope School Board, Rubicon Township Supervisor, Huron County Fair Board, the Michigan Agriculture Leadership Program, and the Port Hope Fire Department. He enjoyed farming and being with his grandchildren. Bob is survived by his wife Candy of Port Hope, children: Tracey (Jim) Schenk of Bad Axe, Tara (Jay) Parr of Brown City, Tyler Oeschger of Breckenridge, Colorado, grandchildren, Owen and Evan Schenk and Millie, Hazel and Miles Parr, and his brother Dale (Linda) Oeschger of Bay Port. Visitation for Bob will be on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 5-8 pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. A Private Family Graveside will take place at a later time.
