Rose Marie Geiger

September 25, 1947 - December 10, 2019

Rose Marie Geiger, a long time resident of Harbor Beach, died Tuesday, December 10, 2019. She passed peacefully after a short and intense battle against ovarian cancer. Rose Marie was born on September 25, 1947 in Parisville, MI to Andrew and Rose Woycik. With her loving husband of 53 years, Harvey Geiger, she raised five children: Paula Geiger, Pamela (Dale) Steen, Eric (Laura) Geiger, Chad (Lori) Geiger and Trevor (Jessie) Geiger. She was blessed with sixteen grandchildren: Chelsea, Charlton, Kara and Alec; Carly, Annica and Chloe; Aidan and Sage; Andrew, Elizabeth, Thomas, Raymond and Christopher; Quinn and Heinrich. Rose Marie was a dedicated farmwife and joint business owner with Harvey. She later progressed through several positions at First National Bank then Signature Bank. She proudly completed her working career as a Mortgage and Loan Officer at North Star Bank. Rose Marie always enjoyed a good polka and polka dance. In her most recent years, she savored traveling with Harvey. They visited family and took several extended vacations with friends and family which were high on her bucket list. Sunrises, and especially moonrises, with Harvey at their lakeshore home, brought Rose Marie great joy. Rose Marie is survived by her husband, children and all grandchildren except Raymond Geiger who preceded her. She is also survived by her family members: Andy & Phyllis Woycik, Beverly Woycik, Carol Mazure, John & Joyce Geiger, Robert & Donna Geiger, William White, Ken & Peggy Weber, Paul & Paulette Wehner, Warren & Barbara Geiger, Don & Della Wolschleger, Dennis & Nona Parak, David & Julie Messing, Ronald Maurer, Betty Maurer, Richard & Jane Messing. Additionally she is preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, Norman & Margaret Geiger/Maurer and Ed Maurer, and family members: Ernest & Ilene Woycik, Lawrence Woycik, James Mazure, Linda Geiger, Leslie Geiger, Patricia Maurer and Wilfred Maurer. Funeral Mass for Rose Marie Geiger will be Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 12:30 PM at Holy Name of Mary Parish (O.L.L.H.), with Fr. George Amos officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation at the church will begin at 10:30 AM until the time of service at 12:30 PM. Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral home of Harbor Beach. In lieu of flowers, gifts and donations can be made in Rose Marie’s memory to Our Lady of Lake Huron School and memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com.
