THOMAS A. RUPPEL, age 74 of Harbor Beach, passed away Wednesay, July 15, 2015 at Huron Medical Center of Bad Axe, after a short illness. He was born on January 6, 1941 in Harbor Beach to the late Alex and Hannah (Lindsay) Ruppel. Tom owned and operated Ruppel Construction. He also owned the Louisville Bar. Tom enjoyed playing cards, riding his motorcycle, wintering down south, and being with friends and family. Tom is survived by his daughters: Maureen Mausolf and her friend Gerry Cook of Bad Axe, and Angela Souva and her friend Al Vargo of Caro, 7 grandchildren: Trista (Osmond), Garret (Erica), Ashlyn (Richard), Joshua, Tancy ( Zackary), Trinity, Zachary, 3 great grandchildren: Benjamin, Emsley, and Griffin, special nephew Greg Titus, four sisters: Esther Stroh of Port Huron, Janet Holbrook of California, Eleanor Taylor of California, Sandy Asselin and her husband John of Harbor Beach, and sister-in-law Gloria Ruppel of Port Hope. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Wendy Tetreau, brothers: Gerald Ruppel and Arnold Ruppel, and sister Elsie Matthews. Cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory of Bay City. A memorial service for Tom will be Saturday at 11 am at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. A gathering of friends will take place Friday from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
