Emmett A. Trudeau

Emmett Arthur Trudeau, age 79, passed away at home on Thursday, January 16th, 2025. He was born in Detroit on December 16th, 1945 to the late Leonard and Mary Jo Trudeau. He was the only son along with 4 sisters. There were always stories about him being the “wild boy” growing up and he would say that he always got blamed for everything! After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy and served for 6 years. After his service, he went on to work for Ford Motor Company as an Electrician. Wanting to relocate his family to a smaller community and slower pace, they moved to Harbor Beach. He worked many years for Hercules, Universal Favors and Sensient Flavors as an Electrician and then as a Maintenance Manager, all at the Harbor Beach location. Emmett enjoyed raising his children in Harbor Beach and enjoyed watching not only his own excel in athletics, but all Harbor Beach Pirates. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11432. He played in his pool league as long as he could. He enjoyed golfing, sun worshiping, crossword puzzles, card games and any and all sweets. Emmett was always up for a good laugh, and loved to crack the worst bad dad jokes. Emmett is survived by his loving wife Cathy of 31 years; his sons Sean (Jenny) Trudeau, Brian Trudeau, and Scott (Jessica) Trudeau, Aaron (Wendy) Wruble, and daughter Ashley (Kaleb) Grapp. Sisters; Marilyn Downing, Kathy (Bob) Lepak, and Linda (Dave) Murphy. Brothers-in-law; Rodney (Chanda) Booms, Lane (Terri) Booms, Garth (Carol) Booms, mother-in-law: Delphine Booms, and Sisters-in-law; Sandy (Dana) Smithers, and Monica Booms. He cherished his time with his grandchildren. He was a proud “Papa T” to 12. Carter, Nate, and Max Trudeau, Elizabeth Craig, Emma Trudeau, Tim Trudeau, Jack Trudeau, Ella, Adelyn and Claira Wruble, and Raiden and Taelan Grapp. Emmett was preceded in death by his mother Mary Jo, father Leonard, sister Shirley Tobin, father-in-law Kenneth Booms, daughter Andrea Wruble and brother-in-law Mark Booms. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Knights of Columbus Council 11432-Harbor Beach. Visitation for Emmett will be held on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 from 2:00-6:00 pm with a service starting at 6:00 pm at Ramsey Funeral Home in Harbor Beach.
