Marjorie Marie Murawske

Marjorie Marie Murawske, age 98, of Harbor Beach, went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital. She was born on November 23, 1923 in Harbor Beach to the late Walter and Alice (Campbell) Essenmacher. Marjorie and Herbert Murawske were united in marriage on April 10, 1947 in Harbor Beach. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2011. Marjorie loved her job at Michigan Bell until she left to start her family. She also spent several years working at the Harbor Beach Resort. She was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church. A member of Christian Service, past president of the Altar Society, a Eucharistic Minister and also a Legion of Mary member for over 39 years. She enjoyed reading, knitting, her flower garden, being outdoors, thrift stores, playing cards and dominoes, but most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by her children: Patricia Weber of Casa Grande, AZ, Pam (Dale) Woodke of Alto, Duane (Cheri) Murawske of Essexville, Mary (Randy) York of Harbor Beach, Rick (Lori) Murawske of Harbor Beach, Craig (Lisa) Murawske of Harbor Beach, Jim (Karen) Murawske of Abington, MA, Sue (Troy) Schelke of Harbor Beach. Grandchildren: Duane (Gina) Weber, Elizabeth Weber, Mike (Sheila) Woodke, Jenny (Sean) Trudeau, Angie (Jason) Geiger, Cory (Maria) Murawske, Ryan (Jaclyn) York, Jessica (David) Mausolf, Jacob, Daniel and Jonathan Murawske, Heather Murawske, Josh (fiancée Grayson), James and Rachael Schelke. Great-grandchildren: Shay and Cole, Evan and Emily, Carter, Nathan and Max, Chase, Zoe and Grayson, John and Olivia, Ansley, Chloe, Keaton and Juliette, Anna, Grayson John. Sister-in-law, Betty Gempel. Many nieces and nephews. Also special friend and honorary daughter, Phyllis Schelke. She was preceded in death by: son-in-law, Richard Weber, grandson, Sean Murawske, great-grandson, Matthew Weber and 5 sisters. Funeral Mass for Marjorie will be Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11am at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. Kevin Wojciechowski officiating. Burial will follow in the OLLH Church Cemetery. Visitation for Marjorie will be on Thursday from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. A rosary service will take place at 7pm on Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the OLLH Church or OLLH School. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com.
