Mary I. Guitar

MARY I GUITAR, age 87 of Harbor Beach, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital following and extended illness. She was born on April 19, 1923 in Palms, to the late Rayburn and Anna (Thompson) Noble. Mary and Harold J. (Barney) Guitar were united in marriage on November 12, 1943 in Tuscaloosca, Alabama. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1986. Mary enjoyed being an active member of the HB Lions Club and her retirement in Florida. She spent many afternoons at Joker Marchant Stadium enjoying the Detroit Tigers Spring Training and playing shuffle board. She is survived by her children Tom Guitar of Romeo, Maureen Brown of Port Hope, Fred Guitar of Harbor Beach, Tamara Harp and her husband David of Harbor Beach, and David Guitar and his wife Margaret of Harbor Beach. Grandchildren: Michelle (Sean) Blair, of Ohio, Karen (Joseph) Murphy of Kingston, Jeff (Stefanie) Guitar of Washington Township, Matthew (Holly) Brown of Traverse City, Tracy (Todd) Hartzog of Indiana, Sarah (Dave) Jordan of Florida, Tim Harp of Bad Axe, Sean Guitar of Harbor Beach, Rebecca (Josh) Goldis of Florida, Kevin (Chrissy) Guittar of Harbor Beach, Steven Guitar of Ruth, Emily Harp of Florida, Julia Guitar and Allison Guitar both of Harbor Beach. Dana Elkins of Sterling Heights, Lauren Elkins of Sterling Heights, Tina Young of Harbor Beach, and Tammy (Jeff) Pawlowski of Ruth, and Fifteen great grandchildren. Brothers Ray Noble of Harbor Beach and Robert (Faye) Noble of Deckerville, and several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by a son-in-law Oren Brown, daughter-in-law Sandee Elkins, brothers Maurice, George and Gordon Noble and sister Erdine Rich. Funeral mass for Mary will be Monday, February 28, 2011 at 11:30 am in Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, with Fr. William Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in OLLH Church Cemetery. Visitation for Mary will be Sunday from 4-8 pm in the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Monday will be in the church beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11:30am. A Parish Vigil Service will take place Sunday at 7:30 pm in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Harbor Beach Lions Club, and Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic School.
